No. The first visit costs you nothing, and neither does the measurement — we come out, measure the room properly including the awkward parts, and talk through what is possible. There is no obligation at the end of it. The only thing we ask is that you are reasonably serious about the job, because the visit takes a morning.

It depends on the running feet, the ply grade, the finish and the hardware, so any number quoted before a measurement is a guess. What we can do quickly is give you a realistic band once we know the size of the kitchen and the finish you have in mind. Send dimensions on WhatsApp and you will have a range the same day.

Two stages, and it is flexible. A part goes in when the order is placed, so the materials can be bought, and the balance is due once the work is finished and you have seen it. You are never asked for the full amount before the job is done. The exact split is agreed with you in writing before anything is ordered, and we will work with what suits you.

Usually, and we would rather you bring references than describe it in words. What we will also do is tell you where a saved photo will not work in your room — ceiling height, the direction the light comes from, or a finish that looks different at full scale than it does on a phone.

Both. A single kitchen or one wardrobe is a normal job for us. Taking the whole home together is usually better value per room and avoids the coordination problems of doing it piecemeal, but there is no minimum.

Our own carpenters. The boards, shutters and hardware are ordered to the approved drawing from the manufacturers we work with, and our carpenters build and fit from that drawing. It is worth asking because the alternative — a contractor who subcontracts to whoever is free that week — is where most of the quality complaints in this trade come from.
