L-shaped kitchen in Padri Bazar

An L-shaped kitchen in dusty rose and white gloss on a black speckled granite counter, fitted around the tiling that was already on the wall.

How this one came together

The tiled splashback was already there and staying, which decides more than people expect. It set the height of the wall units and ruled out running the counter any higher, so the drawing worked to those constraints rather than pretending the room was empty.

The base units are a dusty rose gloss with recessed black handle profiles rather than knobs, so there is nothing to catch a sleeve on in a narrow galley. The counter is black speckled granite, turned down the end of the run to protect the exposed edge.

The drawing had the wall units in cream with open, lit niches. They were built as closed white and black gloss cabinets instead — more usable storage in a kitchen that needed it, and the change was agreed before anything was ordered.

Recessed handle profiles throughout. Existing wall tiling retained, with the cabinet heights set to suit it.
